You can officially call it a bromance. While Michael B. Jordan had already impressed on the small screen in fare like “The Wire” and “Friday Night Lights,” he can thank director Ryan Coogler for truly launching his big screen career, giving him the lead role in the powerful “Fruitvale Station.” The pair forged a friendship that only seemed to grow stronger when they got back together for the hugely entertaining “Creed,” and now, they’re re-teaming once again.

Perhaps ready to leave the “Fantastic Four” experience behind him (sorry, Simon Kinberg), Jordan is lining up a role in Coogler’s “Black Panther.” The actor will be joining Chadwick Boseman and Lupita Nyong’o in the movie, and while Jordan’s role is being kept secret for now (par for the course), THR is hearing that he might be playing the villain. Now that’s certainly interesting.
Jordan has been making quick inroads with Marvel talent, recently securing “Captain America: Civil War” directors Joe and Anthony Russo to produce his brewing remake of “The Thomas Crowne Affair.” And joining “Black Panther” seems like a natural next step.
