“Ted“
Seth MacFarlane’s “Ted” finds new life, this time as a Peacock original series, which serves as a prequel to the two films. The show centers on the talking, crass teddy bear, Ted, who lives with 16-year-old John and his family in Massachusetts. MacFarlane once again voices the titular character. Scott Grimes, Alanna Ubach, Max Burkholder, and Giorgia Whigham also star.
Premiere Date: Season 1 premieres January 11 on Peacock.
“True Detective: Night Country“
In the fourth season of the HBO anthology series, “True Detective: Night Country,” the story takes us to Alaska as the characters follow the investigation behind the disappearance of eight men from a research station. Jodie Foster and Kali Reis star, with Issa López as the showrunner. This is the first season where series creator Nic Pizzolatto doesn’t serve as a creator or writer for the series and he’s essentially no longer involved at all (read our review here)
Premiere Date: Season 4 premieres January 14 on HBO.
“Death And Other Details“
Created by Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams, “Death and Other Details” capitalizes on the recent interest in murder mystery stories. Mandy Patinkin stars as Rufus Coteworth, a man who finds himself on a luxury cruise liner when a locked-room murder takes place. Violett Beane, Linda Emond, Jayne Atkinson, Lauren Patten, Rahul Koli, and more stars.
Premiere Date: Season 1 premieres January 16 on Hulu.
“The Woman in the Wall”
A woman wakes to find a corpse in her house. She has no idea who the dead woman is or if she’s responsible for the murder. Meanwhile, a Dublin detective arrives in town pursuing the case of a murdered priest. Starring Ruth Wilson and Daryl McCormick.
Premiere Date: January 19 with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan.
