Unless you’ve been living under a rock recently, you’re aware that last Friday saw the release of the first chapter of the ‘Harry Potter’ spin-off “Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them.” After just three days of release, the film has already grossed well over $200 million worldwide, and the studio has previously announced that they’re going to release a total of five ‘Fantastic Beasts’ movies. That means there will likely be many more connections to come to the ‘Harry Potter’ series, but ‘Fantastic Beasts’ has plenty on its own.
Mr. Sunday Movies, who’s famous on YouTube for releasing detailed videos about the clues to be found in various blockbusters, has released his look at ‘Fantastic Beasts,’ and it should come as no surprise that there are actually tons of Easter Eggs. Running more than 11 minutes, the video goes through every detail about who Newt Scamander is, why he’s important, and what the reveal at the end of the film means for the future of the series. Let’s just say, it looks like there’s a lot of drama and a few familiar faces set to appear.
The verdict is still out on whether or not the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ series of films will reach the same heights that the ‘Harry Potter’ series achieved, but with Johnny Depp joining the series and the aggressive scheduling, Warner Bros. is banking a lot on this series becoming the next big thing. One thing is for certain: The studio and writer J.K. Rowling are going to lace each film with plenty of that good ‘Harry Potter’ nostalgia.
