’13 Reasons Why’ Trailer: The Controversial YA Series Moves From Teen Suicide To Murder In Season 3

When your series is constantly seen as controversial with the way it handles teen suicide, there’s only one way to move past it — ditch the whole suicide thing and talk about teen murder. So, for the third season of “13 Reasons Why,” the series has decided to move on from the suicide of one of the high school students and focus on something more family-friendly with the murder of one of the high school students.

Who killed Bryce Walker? It’s the question that launches the new season and the crux of the new trailer that was just released. The 13-episode season focuses on the death of football player Bryce Walker, who apparently was shot and killed, and had no shortage of people who wanted him dead. Also of note, Season 3 was just announced as the penultimate season of “13 Reasons Why,” as Netflix revealed plans for only one more season after this. Will they wrap up the murder investigation this year or will the mystery surrounding the death carry over? We shall see.

The series has a huge cast that features Dylan Minnette, Brandon Flynn, Justin Prentice, Alisha Boe, Christian Navarro, Miles Heizer, Devin Druid, Ross Butler, Timothy Granaderos, Anne Winters, Steven Weber, Brenda Strong, Amy Hargreaves, Grace Saif, Bex Taylor Klaus, and Tyler Barnhardt.

“13 Reasons Why” returns for its third season on Netflix on August 23.

Who killed Bryce Walker? Everyone has their reasons… The secrets at Liberty High run deep, and in the aftermath of the Homecoming game all of the friends have something to hide. As the mystery of his death engulfs the town, there are numerous suspects in focus. But were any of them truly capable of murder? And who is the new girl? Police are determined to get to the truth, but with a web of secrets and lies this tangled, will anyone be found guilty?
