14 TV Shows To Watch In January: ‘The Last Of Us,’ Copenhagen Cowboy,’ ‘Poker Face’ & More

Your Honor
Created by Peter Moffat, Season 2 of Showtime’s Your Honor” continues the story of Bryan Cranston’s judge Michael Desiato who was driven to drastic measures in Season 1 as he tried to protect his son after he was involved in a hit-and-run incident. Based on the Israeli show “Kvodo,” season two picks up after the tragic ending of Season 1, with Michael a shell of the man he was before. Rosie Perez and Michael Stuhlbarg also star. 
Release Date: Season 2 premieres on January 13 on Showtime.

The Last of Us
Perhaps the buzziest of all the new releases this month, “The Last of Us” is the latest video game to receive live-action treatment with the adaptation being released through HBOPedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey star as Joel and Ellie, a pair who have teamed up together due to the harsh and brutal post-apocalyptic environment. Created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, the series also stars Gabriel LunaAnna Torv, and Merle Dandridge in recurring roles. 
Release Date: Season 1 premieres on January 15 on HBO.

Mayor of Kingstown
Jeremy Renner stars in Season 2 of Paramount’s “Mayor of Kingstown,” where he plays the head of the McLusky family, Mike, as he works within the criminal justice system by taking the law into his own hands. From “Yellowstone’s,” Tyler Sheridan, the series picks up following the events of the prison riot that closed out the show’s first season. Dianne WiestEmma LairdAidan Gillen, and Hugh Dillion also star.
Release Date: Season 2 premieres on January 15 on Paramount+.

Miracle Workers: End Times
Daniel RadcliffeSteve Buschemi, and Geraldine Viswanathan return for the last installment of the comedy series by Simon Rich for “Miracle WorkersEnd Times.” Taking place in a post-apocalyptic, war-torn future, this season follows Radcliffe’s Sid as he adjusts to married life while facing down threats of his new landscape. Airing on TBS, the series is an underdog comedy series that is consistently funny in how it rearranges its cast of characters by putting them in new, increasingly ridiculous situations. 
Release Date: Season 4 premieres on January 16 on TBS.
