At first glance, there doesn’t seem to be much in relation between the baby oil coated, gasoline soaked "Furious 7," and the arid madness of "Mad Max: Fury Road." But then, of course, both blockbuster movies feature vehicular mayhem on a very huge scale, so obviously, why not tease one in front of the other?
Indeed, ODEON Cinemas and Warner Bros Entertainment UK have decided to screen six minutes of "Mad Max: Fury Road" in front of U.K. screenings of "Furious 7." There’s no word on what this footage will be, but my guess is that it’s probably what George Miller cut together to show at SXSW and Cinemacon (read our report here with full details). Whatever it is, it’s a clever promo, but unfortunately, it seems like it’s one that will only be happening across the pond. But, the wide release of the movie isn’t far off.
"Mad Max: Fury Road" opens on May 15th and will screen at the Cannes Film Festival.
