As surprising as it may seem, given the comedian’s non-stop social media presence, we have yet to see a full TV sit-down interview with Roseanne Barr since her controversial tweet that cratered her incredibly popular sitcom, “Roseanne.” No special 1-hour “20/20” or “Dateline.” Not even a Sean Hannity exclusive!
Soon after the news broke that her show was canceled, the actress claimed that she would appear on the Joe Rogan Podcast to give her side of the story. Then she pulled out of that commitment. She did appear on one podcast, but it wasn’t very hard-hitting, to say the least. Then earlier this week, Barr claimed that she had plans for a TV interview that she would announce soon. However, it appears that those plans are scrapped, as well.

According to Roseanne Barr’s Twitter account, which is still filled with the same garbage you might expect, she’s decided to forgo the TV interview in favor of her own interview that she plans on filming herself and posting on her YouTube channel.
Why does she intend on filming it herself? She tweeted, “After a lot of thought, I decided that I won’t be doing any TV interviews, too stressful & untrustworthy 4 me & my fans. I’m going to film it myself & post it on my youtube channel in the next week-the entire explanation of what happened & why! I love you all-sign up & get ready.”

For all those hoping for a trained media interviewer to hit Barr with the hard questions that we expected, you’ll be sorely disappointed. In her own words, the actress doesn’t want anything “too stressful” and claims that everyone is “untrustworthy.” So, it appears that all we’ll get is yet another platform for Barr to explain that she was misunderstood and is definitely, in no way a racist. Fun.
A cynic might assume that Roseanne is capitalizing on her sudden infamy to launch a YouTube channel that will no doubt see a huge influx of viewers given her “exclusive” interview. Guess we’ll see what happens.
