‘Well Groomed’: Here’s The Trailer & Exclusive Poster For New SXSW Doc About “Creative” Dog Grooming

You’ve probably seen at least a portion of those annual dog shows that appear from time to time on your TV screen. And if you’ve had a dog as a pet, you’re probably well aware of the various ways you can groom the furry guy. But you’re probably not aware of the world of “creative grooming.” And thanks to the upcoming doc “Well Groomed,” you’ll be able to leap headfirst into one of the more, uh, colorful dog shows you’ll ever see.

With “Well Groomed” set to make its debut at the upcoming SXSW Film Festival, we’re happy to present our readers with a first look at the very bright and colorful poster for the film. And in the poster, you get pretty much all the information you’ll need to fully prepare yourself for this unique documentary.

“Well Groomed” tells the story of various people that take part in the world of “creative grooming.” Unlike other dog shows, that aim to provide pristine examples of the purest of purebreds, this world showcases a whole different side to grooming. Neon fur with wild designs is plentiful at a “creative” event. Do you think painting your dog’s nails is wild? How adorable. How about you design a Buzz Lightyear into their fur?

In the trailer for the SXSW-bound film, you get just a taste of what you’ll experience in the doc. It’s not just the glitz and glamor of the events, but as with any good documentary, “Well Groomed” pulls the curtain back and shows a glimpse into the lives of those people that take this art form to extreme levels to win the competitions.

“Well Groomed” debuts on March 10 and will play at various times during SXSW.
