Kids saying bad words is always funny. It’s just one of those things that will never change, no matter what. And in the new film, “Good Boys,” that theory is put to the test, as the comedy features no shortage of children saying and doing horribly inappropriate things.
As seen in the new trailer for the film, “Good Boys” follows the hijinks of three 6th grade boys, as they prepare for their first “kissing party.” If you’ve ever seen a coming-of-age comedy film, then the premise sounds very familiar, as they tend to revolve around kids trying to finally be “cool” and attend some major party. This time, with no graduation or prom on the horizon and virginity assuredly remaining intact, we focus on tweens who just want to kiss a girl for the first time.
The film stars Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon, Keith L. Williams, Midori Francis, and Molly Gordon. As is clearly stated in the trailer, and is probably obvious by the tone and crudeness (no offense intended, as I’m always down for a good, well-made gross-out comedy), “Good Boys” is produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The comedy is written by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, with the latter also directing.

“Good Boys” arrives in theaters on August 16.
Here’s the synopsis:
After being invited to his first kissing party, 12-year-old Max (Room’s Jacob Tremblay) is panicking because he doesn’t know how to kiss. Eager for some pointers, Max and his best friends Thor (Brady Noon, HBO’s Boardwalk Empire) and Lucas (Keith L. Williams, Fox’s The Last Man On Earth) decide to use Max’s dad’s drone – which Max is forbidden to touch – to spy (they think) on a teenage couple making out next door.
But when things go ridiculously wrong, the drone is destroyed. Desperate to replace it before Max’s dad (Will Forte, The Last Man on Earth) gets home, the boys skip school and set off on an odyssey of epically bad decisions involving some accidentally stolen drugs, frat-house paintball, and running from both the cops and terrifying teenage girls (Life of the Party’s Molly Gordon and Ocean’s Eight’s Midori Francis).
