Many longtime fans may have been disappointed with “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 18, but Paramount and World of Wonder are hoping the new “All Stars” season is a palate cleanser. “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 11 will debut Friday, May 8, on Paramount+ and brings back last season 10’s “Tournament of All Stars” format, but with a twist.
Last “All Stars” season, three queens from each of the three competitive brackets made it to the “merge,” where they battled over the remaining three episodes for the crown. This time, just two queens move on, making the competition even more cutthroat. Each bracket will feature six all-stars who have three episodes to rack up wins and points to make it ot the “merge.” The season finale will feature a Lip Sync Smackdown for the Crown, where the finalists will battle it out for a grand prize of $200,000 and a place in the coveted Drag Race Hall of Fame. Last year’s winner, Ginger Minj, appears alongside RuPaul in“Stop! That! Train!” in theaters this June.
Additionally, new episodes of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars: Untucked” will take viewers “behind the scenes to the backstage drama as the queens anxiously await their fate each week.” “Untucked” will also only be available on Paramount+ in the U.S.
As for this year’s cast, the 18 contestants feature some highly anticipated first-timers such as Sam Star (Season 17), Morphine Love Dion (Season 16), Jasmine Kennedy (Season 14), Crystal Method (Season 12), Dawn (Season 16), Salina EsTitties (Season 16), Lucky Starzzz (Season 17), and, surprise, Joey Jay (Season 13). Returning All Stars include Kennedy Davenport, A’Keria C. Davenport, Morgan McMichaels, and Silky Nutmeg Ganache. O.G. meme queen Mystique Summers (“B**ch I’m from Chicago!”) finally returns to the franchise after appearing on “Drag Race” season 2, as does legendary house mother Vivacious from season 6.
Other contestants include April Carrión (Season 6), Aura Mayari (Season 15), and Hershii LiqCour-Jeté (Season 16).

Paramount did not reveal any of the celebrity guest judges this season, but Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Matthews, TS Madison, and Law Roach are expected to return as rotating “permanent” judges.
