While the Kristen Stewart scandal or whatever from this summer seems to be fading, with rumors that she is back with Robert Pattinson, whether she's ready or not, the actress will be back in the spotlight this fall. Of course, there's "Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2" giving Twihards one last cinematic orgasm before the franchise fades from view, but for those with a more discerning movie palate, Stewart will also be appearing in Walter Salles' long awaited "On The Road."
After premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, the movie underwent a few tweaks and hit TIFF in a shorter cut. We haven't yet caught the slightly snipped version, so we're not sure how differently it plays from the cut on the Croisette, but we'll find out soon enough. "On The Road" will finally be coming to stateside theaters in a few months, and a few more pics have hit the web of Stewart as Marylou, the young, free spirit who movies between Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund) and Sal Paradise (Sam Riley). It's a lively turn by Stewart that will raise some eyebrows and make Mr. Skin types happy, but it provides proof that she's better served by actual dramas than tentpole fare.
"On The Road" co-stars Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Steve Buscemi, Terrence Howard and loads more, and will open in limited release on December 21st. [Kinopoisk]
