Next month, A24 is re-releasing the hit Chinese-language animated pic “Ne Zha 2” in Western countries such as the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand on August 22. They’ve dropped a new trailer featuring their English dub.

As previously reported, Oscar-winning actress Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All At Once,” “Avatar” sequels) is lending her voice for the new English dub track alongside Crystal Lee.

The mega-popular fantasy sequel was written and directed by Yang Yu, aka Jiaozi, as the Chinese animated pic has already amassed a whopping $1.9 billion (a bulk coming from Chinese audiences in the local theaterical market), making it the highest-grossing movie of the year with Disney‘s live-action “Lilo & Stitch” being the second biggest release and only Hollywood effort to earn a billion in 2025 (so far).

Here is the official logline for the re-release from A24:

A rebellious young boy, Ne Zha, is feared by the gods and born to mortal parents with wild, uncontrolled powers. Now he’s faced with an ancient force intent on destroying humanity, he must grow up to become the hero the world needs.
