Disney and Pixar are heading back to theaters next year with another ambitious original film titled “Hoppers,” as the studio has sent over a new teaser trailer for their latest animated adventure.
Daniel Chong, a longtime story artist at Pixar and member of their Senior Creative Team (involved with “Incredibles 3” and “Toy Story 5“), directs “Hoppers” with a voice cast that features the likes of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, and Jon Hamm.

The movie plays on a fun sci-fi trope made famous via James Cameron‘s “Avatar” and the Eddie Murphy comedy “Meet Dave,” where an artificial body is used to mingle with a local species, in this case, a human will become a beaver and attempt to become just another wild animal with the help of advanced technology.
An official synopsis provided by Disney:
In “Hoppers,” scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals! Using the new technology
Pixar has been having a bit of a rough go with their originals at the box office, as “Elio,” by all accounts well-liked by both critics and audiences, struggled to make a splash (only tallying $118 million globally). Hopefully, moviegoers will remind themselves that before massive earners like “Toy Story 4” (“Toy Story 5” is on the way), “Incredibles 2,” and “Inside Out 2,” those franchises were based on original concepts. We’ll keep our fingers crossed that others will embrace the animation studio’s attempts to find the NEXT big Pixar franchise by exploring fresh ideas, such as with “Hoppers.”
Perhaps that is why Disney’s marketing team is trying its best to start promoting the film now and not a couple of months before it arrives.
“Hoppers” is coming to theaters on March 6, 2026, and you can watch the new teaser trailer below alongside a nifty poster.
