According to Variety, Adria Arjona (“6 Underground,” “True Detective”), Carrie Brownstein (“Portlandia,” “Transparent”), Jerrod Carmichael (“The Carmichael Show,” “Ramy”), Fala Chen (“The Undoing,” “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”), and Devon Ross are all attached to star in “Irma Vep” for HBO/A24. For those that haven’t seen the original film, “Irma Vep” features Vikander in the lead role of Mira, an American actress that has grown to become disillusioned with the business and her career, specifically. So, she heads to France to star in a production of “Irma Vep,” a remake of the French film, “Les Vampires.” While there, the character and the woman start to merge, with frightening results.

It’s unclear when “Irma Vep” will begin production, but with casting already coming together, it’s clear A24 and HBO are moving ahead pretty quickly on the new limited series.
