'Another Life' Teaser: Katee Sackhoff Goes Back To Space To Look For Aliens That Sent Something To Earth

Outside of the film “Arrival,” whenever alien life makes contact with humanity, it’s never a good thing. And sometimes, it’s not even the first contact with aliens that leads to issues. Sometimes, it just takes a mysterious artifact landing on Earth that could send humans into a tailspin. Apparently, that’s all it takes on the new series “Another Life.”

As seen in the new trailer for “Another Life,” humans have sent a group of astronauts into deep space to investigate the location of alien life after an artifact of unknown origins lands on our planet. However, as you might expect from this sort of series, the results aren’t great and lead to some pretty horrific situations that could endanger the lives of the crew, as well as all life on Earth.

The new series stars Katee Sackhoff, of “Battlestar Galactica” fame, alongside Justin Chatwin, Tyler Hoechlin, Selma Blair, and Samuel Anderson. The series is created by Aaron Martin, who is probably best known for the other recent series he created and co-wrote, titled “Slasher,” which is also available on Netflix.

“Another Life” debuts on Netflix on July 25.

Here’s the synopsis:

When a mysterious alien Artifact lands on Earth, Commander Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) has to lead humanity’s first interstellar mission to its planet of origin, while her husband (Justin Chatwin) tries to make first contact with the artifact back on earth. Another Life explores the miracle of life, how precious life is in a universe mostly empty of it, and the lengths we will go to protect the ones we love.
