Got a Tip?

‘Avengers: Endgame’ TV Spot: Marvel Studios Seems Content With Revealing Nothing Before April 26th

The tight-lipped folks out of Marvel Studios are up to their old tricks – with the latest TV spot for “Avengers: Endgame.” Much like the trailers we’ve had previously, there’s just enough in the short spot to get folks excited, but also keep them completely in the dark.

Since everyone involved with the upcoming sequel to “Avengers: Infinity War,” from its stars, to its writers, Christopher Markus, and Stephen McFeely, to its directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, to Kevin Feige himself, have all kept spoilers to such an extreme minimum over the past several months. Well, good news, Marvel Studios has begun the marketing blitz for ‘Endgame.’ The bad news, you’re still not going to learn anything from the new TV spot.

Similar to the recent trailer, the TV spot uses the black and white flashbacks, with red accents, to highlight the fallen Avengers that perished when Thanos did his thing. And there’s also the familiar voiceover from Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, with the most low-key pep talk in film history. All told, it appears that even the TV spots for ‘Endgame’ are going to stick with the same formula of little-to-no information that the trailers have maintained, which is nothing but a good thing.

Coming off the heels of “Infinity War,” which saw Josh Brolin’s Thanos succeed in his quest to collect all six Infinity Stones and snap half the universe out of existence, the sequel will surely deal with the fallout of this apocalyptic scenario and, as many fan theories suggest, may deal with the surviving Avengers, from Chris Evans’ Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man to Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, travel through the timeline of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to find the Infinity Stones for themselves and beat Thanos.
