Emily Blunt To Team With John Krasinski & David O. Russell On New Film 'Not Fade Away'

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right? After the runaway success of their big screen collaboration, “A Quiet Place,” married couple/A-Listers Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are teaming up yet again on a new film that doesn’t involve monsters, but does involve the loss of hearing. And to up the ante even more, the duo are bringing along David O. Russell to help.

According to Deadline, Blunt is attached to star in the film “Not Fade Away,” which will be produced by her husband Krasinski and filmmaker David O. Russell. The film is based on the memoir of the same name, penned by author Rebecca Alexander. The story follows Alexander’s struggles, as she was diagnosed with a rare disease that slowly took away her vision and her hearing.

“Not Fade Away” is being adapted for the big screen by writer Lindsey Ferrentino. The report from Deadline says that despite their production duties, neither Russell or Krasinski will end up directing the feature.

As mentioned, Blunt starred in the massive hit “A Quiet Place,” which surprised everyone in 2018. She rounded out the year by starring in the family film “Mary Poppins Returns,” and will next be seen in “Jungle Cruise” opposite Dwayne Johnson, as well as the sequel to ‘A Quiet Place.’ She’ll also star in the sequel to “Edge of Tomorrow,” if that film ever gets off the ground.

Krasinski is in the middle of preparing the sequel to “A Quiet Place,” which he’ll write and direct. On top of that, the actor/filmmaker can also be seen over at Amazon on the series “Jack Ryan.” Russell, on the other hand, is the filmmaker probably best known for his work on “The Silver Linings Playbook,” “The Fighter,” and “American Hustle.”

There’s no release date for “Not Fade Away,” as of yet.
