HBO's 'Ballers' And 'Insecure' Release Teasers And Announce Return Dates For Upcoming Seasons

When Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson isn’t saving the world from giant-sized monsters or escaping large buildings with only one leg (yes, that’s a thing in “Skyscraper”), the movie star is starring on the hit HBO series “Ballers” as a former NFL star turned financial planner. “Ballers” is apparently coming back for a fourth season on the cable network, and now we have a release date and teaser for the new season.

The teaser doesn’t give much in the way of plot for the upcoming season, other than the change of scenery (moving to California), but does show that all the elements from previous seasons seem to be there. There’s drama, The Rock, Rob Corddry, The Rock, comedy, and of course, The Rock. The new season debuts on August 12.

Also debuting that Sunday is none other than comedy/drama series “Insecure.” Along with the date announcement, there was a teaser released that doesn’t show a bit of footage from the highly-anticipated third season. Instead, it shows a selfie video from co-creator/star Issa Rae, as she asks cast members what big questions people seem to ask them about their characters.

While not being a true teaser, the video does a great job of showing that “Insecure” is all about the relationships between Rae’s character and her group of friends.

Take a look at the teasers below, and remember to watch for both series when they return to HBO on August 12.
