Secret affairs never seem to work out very well for those people involved. And in the world of TV, when a cheating spouse is figured out, it can lead to some pretty dangerous situations. This is the exact type of thing that happens in the upcoming Netflix miniseries, “Behind Her Eyes.”
As seen in the trailer for the limited series, “Behind Her Eyes” is based on the best-selling novel of the same name that tells the story of a single mother that comes between a husband and wife couple. When the single mother begins developing a friendship with the wife and an intimate relationship with the husband, the married couple find themselves at a crossroads with the wife suddenly becoming a bit more…dangerous than you might expect. If you read the novel, you know there’s a surprise ending and in the official synopsis of the series, Netflix is quick to tease the “shock ending.” So you’ve been warned.
The drama series stars Simona Brown, Eve Hewson, Tom Bateman, and Robert Aramayo. “Behind Her Eyes” is created and produced by writer Steve Lightfoot. He’s probably best known for his work on the Marvel Netflix series, “The Punisher,” as well as series such as “Narcos” and “Hannibal.” He also is the showrunner of the upcoming Apple TV+ series, “Shantaram.” “Behind Her Eyes” is directed by Erik Richter Strand, who is best known for the Norwegian series, “Valkyrien.”
