That vibrancy is seemingly being tapped by filmmaker Tanya Wexler (“Hysteria“) for her latest film, “Buffaloed” which made its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival last year.

Co-starring Judy Greer, Jermaine Fowler, and Jai Courtney, “Buffaloed” is set in the city it takes its name from and center on a young girl obsessed with making enough cash to get out of her blue-collar existence (Deutch). Betting on her sharp mind—and even sharper mouth—to get her into an Ivy League university, Deutch’s Peg Dahl character then has to hustle if she ever hopes to pay off the expensive tuition for the university she’s been accepted into.
This is a film that Bernie Sanders and or his supporters would seemingly love, as it really talks about the wage gap, the 99% hustling for basic rights and the hardship that is living in today’s America. Here’s the official synopsis:
