Contest Giveaway: ‘The Bridge On The River Kwai’ Blu-Ray

Update: Contest closed. Call it a late Christmas present, but we have a single copy of “The Bridge on the River Kwai” on Blu-ray courtesy of Columbia Classics for one lucky reader.

When British POWs build a vital railway bridge in enemy-occupied Burma, Allied commandos are assigned to destroy it in David Lean‘s epic World War II adventure “The Bridge on the River Kwai.” Spectacularly produced, “The Bridge on the River Kwai” captured the imagination of the public and won seven 1957 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director. Even its theme song, an old WWII whistling tune, the Colonel Bogey March, became a massive hit. It continues today as one of the most memorable cinematic experiences of all time.

This Collector’s Edition Blu-ray features a plethora of extras including replicas of the original theatrical lobby cards, 32 pages of on-set and behind-the-scenes photography, William Holden and Alec Guinness on “The Steve Allen Show” and more.

To win, email us the answer to this question: What are the names of the blacklisted screenwriters of the film who originally went uncredited?

Please include your full name and mailing address with the answer. Contest open to residents of the United States and Canada only. “The Bridge on the River Kwai” Collector’s Edition Blu-ray is in stores now.
