As the temperature in Hollywood increases as studio heads, actors, directors and more are being taken to task for harassment, abuse, and assault, Paramount Pictures is putting the blinders on and pushing ahead with “Daddy’s Home 2.” The film, which brings Mel Gibson — whose career was once sidelined by sexist, racist, anti-Semitic hate speech — in the mainstream spotlight, is coming to cinemas and family friendly audiences very soon.
The followup to Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg‘s sleeper 2015 hit, finds the pair again reunited, this time with their Dads (the always loveable John Lithgow, and Gibson, playing up his gruff persona) coming into the mix, and making the holidays a mess. Here’s the official synopsis:
Father and stepfather Dusty and Brad join forces to make Christmastime perfect for the children. Their newfound partnership soon gets put to the test when Dusty’s old-school, macho dad and Brad’s gentle father arrive to turn the holiday upside down.
“Daddy’s Home 2” opens on November 10th.
