A brief mystery box logline for the new Spielberg pic via Universal Pictures:
If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to…Disclosure Day.
Of course, Spielberg has a storied history with the sci-fi genre, featuring alien lifeforms with films such as “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial,” and his Tom Cruise-led remake of H.G. Wells‘ “War of the Worlds,” the latter also saw a script penned by Koepp.
You can watch that first-look teaser trailer for “Disclosure Day” below, as the event film will be released in theaters by Universal on June 12.
