Got a Tip?

Don’t Expect Aquaman Or Martian Manhunter For ‘Batman Vs. Superman’

While “Batman Vs. Superman” doesn’t arrive in theaters until next year, much of 2014 will be spent by interwebs trying to uncover the secrets that Zack Snyder, David Goyer and Warner Bros. have up their sleeves for the film. With Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman already confirmed for the movie, and the rumor mill churning that more from the Justice League may appear, a few more intriguing nuggets of info have surfaced online about the production and who may (or may not) be seeing int he super sequel.

First up, SuperHeroHype has dug up a few details surrounding the massive Michigan shoot for the movie (it will occupy seven soundstages in addition to location shooting), with the Michigan Film Office revealing the budget for the movie is $131 million. Seems a bit… Low, no? This number is likely just for the Michigan portion of filming, and considering “Man Of Steel” spent $225 million before even marketing kicked in, we’d reckon Snyder will have more money to spent on other locations, special effects and more. Basically, it’s just the tip of the money iceberg.

Meanwhile, Batman On Film kicked off the New Year addressing a bunch of questions from fans, and while this shouldn’t be taken as gospel, these guys tend to be pretty plugged in. So, remember when Jason Momoa was cast in the sequel last month, with his role being kept under wraps? Well, you can discount two of the possibilities as the BOF says neither Martian Manhunter or Aquaman will feature in the sequel (which seems to suggest that Momoa is indeed Doomsday).

The site also says not to expect any Bat-villians popping up, while they also believe the title could change to “Man Of Steel: Insert Subtitle Here To Remind People It’s A Sequel.” Hit them up to read more of their thoughts and keep your eyes on the skies until July 17, 2015.
