Emily Blunt Joins Cillian Murphy In The Cast Of Christopher Nolan's Upcoming Atomic Bomb Feature

Christopher Nolan has never been shy about making sure he has top-tier, A-list talent in front of the camera for his features. And now, it appears that Nolan can add Emily Blunt to that list.

According to Deadline, Emily Blunt is in talks to join Cillian Murphy in the cast of the upcoming, untitled Christopher Nolan film about J. Robert Oppenheimer and the creation of the Atomic Bomb. In the film, Blunt would play Oppenheimer’s wife, while Murphy would play the scientist. Not much else is known about the film other than it’s going to be yet another Nolan feature with a huge budget and a prime summer release date.

Blunt is obviously no stranger to blockbuster films. Just this year, she starred in both “Jungle Cruise” and “A Quiet Place 2.” Previous to that, she has been seen in features such as “Sicario,” “Edge of Tomorrow,” and “The Huntsman: Winter’s War.” So, she won’t likely have much problem adjusting to the demands of a Nolan film.

It’s unclear where exactly the next Nolan film fits in Blunt’s schedule. In addition to this film, she has already signed up for “Jungle Cruise 2, as well as an upcoming Amazon film about the life of detective Kate Warne.

Regardless of when production begins on Nolan’s new Oppenheimer film, the feature is expected to be released on July 21, 2023, through his new studio home, Universal
