Based on the Italian cartoon “Winx Club,” the initial first season of the 2021 live-action teen drama adaptation, “Fate: The Winx Saga” on Netflix was met with quite a lot of backlash from fans and critics of the original show. The teen drama, akin to “Riverdale,” was developed by Brian Young who also acted as the showrunner and executive producer. Still, the live-action series also took things to a more supernatural level.
Netflix recently announced the show’s return, with Season 2 bringing back more fan-favorite characters.

“The six episodes in season one only scratched the surface of this incredibly rich world and the powerful fairies who inhabit it. As Bloom’s story continues to evolve, I can’t wait for you to learn even more about Aisha, Stella, Terra, and Musa! And you never know who might show up at Alfea next term,” Young told EW.
The original cast will be returning to reprise their roles as the titular lead fairies, with some new additions to the cast. Paulina Chávez will be playing Flora, an Earth fairy like her cousin Terra.
Éanna Hardwick will be playing Sebastian; he’s described as a student with a brilliant mind but questionable morals. Finally, Brandon Grace will be playing Grey, who is set to be a transgender male but has no connection to the original Nickelodeon series. Grey is teased about having a relationship with Aisha in the second season which he obtains through his charismatic charms.
With most of the fan drama behind them, it seems Netflix has high hopes for the show. The second season of ‘Fate’ is said to drop on Netflix on September 16.
