Formula 1 racing is enjoying a big burst in fans over the past few years, thanks in no small part to docuseries helping to introduce the sport to new people around the world. Now, we’re seeing the effect in Hollywood, as Brad Pitt is set to star in a film, “F1,” and now, Felicity Jones is joining Formula 1 family with a new series of her own.

According to Variety, Felicity Jones is set to star in and produce a new Formula 1-inspired TV series, simply titled “One,” for Amazon MGM Prime Video. As you might guess, the series is about Formula 1 racing, as it shows Jones as the matriarch of a family-owned racing team, as they deal with all the drama that comes with that role.

Jones is currently starring in one of the most acclaimed films of the year, “The Brutalist.” Recently, she’s also shown up in films such as “Dead Shot,” “The Last Letter from Your Lover,” and “The Midnight Sky.” Coming up, she has films such as “Train Dreams,” “Oh. What. Fun,” and “100 Nights of Hero.”
“One” is still in the very early stages of development. It’s unclear whether or not it will be picked up to series by Prime Video. However, with Jones attached and Formula 1 as popular as it is, you can see how this would be an attractive project to pick up.
