‘Fingernails’ Trailer: Jessie Buckley & Riz Ahmed Lead Christos Nikou’s Romantic Sci-Fi Drama

Can technology understand romantic relationships? The new film “Fingernails” offers a story based on our growing connections to innovation but offers a posit that flies in the face of conventional dating life in the modern age: love and technology don’t always mix. A couple thinks they’ve found love, as stated by recent tech developments — what it fails to understand might just be the difference between one partner settling or finding a true soulmate. The Apple Original Films project looks towards a brilliant cast featuring Jessie Buckley, Riz Ahmed, Jeremy Allen White, Luke Wilson, and Annie Murphy. The film boasts two Oscar Best Actor and Actress nominees, Jessie Buckley (“The Lost Daughter”) and Riz Ahmed (“Sound Of Metal”), the latter actually an Oscar winner for the Live-Action Short “The Long Goodbye” which he starred in and co-wrote. Buckley is no stranger to prestige projects, starring in a season of “Fargo” and the film “Women Talking.” White is another standout, offering an uncompromising performance in Hulu’sThe Bear.”
