The always fashionable Costume Designers Guild picked their 2026 winners, and, as always, they found a way to spread the love. They also waited until the last award of the night not to snub legendary designer Collen Atwood. The now nine-time CDG Award and four-time Oscar winner took the Excellence in Contemporary Film honor for “One Battle After Another.” She lost two categories earlier in the night, including Excellence in Contemporary Television, which went to Kameron Lennox for “The Studio.”

The Period Film Award went to the Oscar frontrunner, Kate Hawley, for “Frankenstein.” Alix Friedberg & Leigh Bell were surprise winners in Period Television for “Palm Royale.”
He may have been snubbed by the Academy this year, but last year’s winner, Paul Tazewell, took Sci-Fi/Fantasy for “Wicked for Good.” Michael Wilkinson won Sci-Fi/Fantasy for “Andor.” This was his first win after eight nominations.
The team behind “SNL 50” won the Variety, Reality-Competition, Live Television honor while Felipe Sanchez won Illustration for “Sinners.”
James Cameron, Teyana Taylor, Michelle Cole, and Kate Hudson received honorary awards.
