FX seems to be combining some of the biggest names in off-beat, adult humor for a new animated series about the suburban spawn of Satan, titled “Little Demon.”
According to Deadline, FX has ordered a pilot for the new animated series, “Little Demon,” which is set to star Danny DeVito, his daughter Lucy DeVito, and Aubrey Plaza. The series tells the story of a woman who was impregnated by the Devil and takes her Antichrist daughter to live in Delaware to attempt to live a normal life. Of course, that’s not an easy task with monstrous forces and a custody battle with Satan, himself.
“Little Demon” is created by Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner, and Kieran Valla, and executive produced by “Community” and “Rick & Morty” co-creator Dan Harmon. When you put together all those creative minds, suddenly “Little Demon” sounds like it could be one of the funniest series on TV.

Danny DeVito is a well-known actor with decades of films and TV series under his belt. However, over the last decade, he’s probably best known for being one of the stars of the comedy series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Plaza is also a veteran of comedies, having starred in a number of films, as well as the TV series “Parks & Rec.” She’s also familiar with FX, as one of the cast members in the superhero series “Legion.”
“Little Demon” is not guaranteed a full season order, but you have to believe this team of creative folks will turn in a quality pilot. One can hope, at least. Production is expected to begin soon, so maybe we’ll see the animated series sooner than later.
