'Game Of Thrones' Is Once Again The Most Pirated TV Show Of The Year

It figures that the most popular TV shows will be the ones that are most pirated, but it’s still a bit surprising that for the fifth year running, “Game Of Thrones” remains at the top of the list of the most stolen series.

HBO‘s juggernaut has captured a global audience, and the network is certainly aware that many viewers are finding other ways to watch the show without buying a subscription. They’ve tried to curtail piracy through HBO Go and HBO Now (though the latter is still only available in the United States and a handful of other countries) but it doesn’t seem to have made much of a dent: their newest hit “Westworld” is the third most pirated show of 2016.

Elsewhere, it’s not a shock to see “The Walking Dead” near the top of the list, though I’m a bit astounded to see “The Big Bang Theory” in the mix — isn’t that show on all the time? Is it really that hard to catch a new episode? Meanwhile, it seems people really love The CW heroes “The Flash” and “Arrow.” Check out the full list below. [TorrentFreak]
