‘Get Duked’ R-Rated Trailer: ‘Boyz In The Woods’ Gets A New Title & New Amazon Release Date

Get Duked!” is easily one of Amazon Studios‘s most bizarre offerings to date. Instead of laboring over every word in an effort to describe it accurately, I’m instead going to post the just-released trailer so you can get an idea of what to expect.

‘Boyz In The Wood’: Filmmaker Ninian Doff Crafts A Love Letter To The Bonkers Midnight Movie Genre [SXSW Review]

The film’s official synopsis reads:

Dean, Duncan and DJ Beatroot are teenage pals from Glasgow who embark on the character-building camping trip — based on a real-life program — known as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, where foraging, teamwork and orienteering are the order of the day. Eager to cut loose and smoke weed in the Scottish Highlands, the trio finds themselves paired with straight-laced Ian, a fellow camper determined to play by the rules. After veering off-path into remote farmland that’s worlds away from their urban comfort zone, the boys find themselves hunted down by a shadowy force hell-bent on extinguishing their futures.

In addition to being an official selection at numerous festivals, including the Edinburgh International Film Festival in 2019, the film has been compared to other genre-bending flicks, with SlashFilm’s Matt Donato calling it, “The hippest, wildest, most energetic genre blowout to come from the UK since ‘Attack The Block.'”

Director Ninian Doff is a maker of music videos, commercials, and, of course, films, with many of his works being nominated for awards big and small.

“Get Duked!” will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting August 28.
