**Spoiler alert for ‘Avengers 4’ and ‘Infinity War.’ Seriously, not kidding. This is a spoiler for the film that isn’t going to come out for a year!**
One of the benefits of shooting two films back-to-back is that you can release the sequel to your mega-popular blockbuster a year earlier. However, the downfall of shooting back-to-back is that the actors involved know all the details and secrets of two films, instead of one, and they may just forget what happens in which film.
That appears to be the case for Gwyneth Paltrow, who was quoted in the Official “Avengers: Infinity War” Magazine (via Comicbook.com) talking about Pepper Potts’ relationship with Tony Stark in the “Avengers: Infinity War” and ‘Avengers 4’ films:
“Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together. She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.”
Say what?!
Yes, according to Paltrow, there is definitely a child present in Tony Stark/Pepper Potts’ future. There has been speculation that Pepper knew that she was pregnant when Tony confronted her at the beginning of ‘Infinity War,’ but chose to keep it a surprise. Then when Tony goes off to Titan, and Pepper is frantic on the phone with him, she could have been ready to tell him before the signal was lost.
Either way, it appears that a baby is in the future of Pepper Potts and Tony Stark. Perhaps, we’ll get to see little Morgan Stark in the upcoming film? Does that mean there’s a time-jump ahead for our heroes? Maybe the true title for the fourth film is “Avengers: Tony Stark Is A Dad!” Honestly, there’s a lot to unpack with this news.
Sadly, we won’t get confirmation of this until next May, when ‘Avengers 4’ hits theaters.
