HBO Renews ‘Game Of Thrones’ For Third Season

nullWell, this is hardly a surprise. With critical raves pouring in, coupled with a dedicated and devoted following, HBO has announced that they've gone ahead and renewed "Game Of Thrones" for a third season.

According to the network, season two has been off to a phenomenal start, with the season two premiere accumulating a gross audience of 8.3 million viewers, putting it on track to easily surpass the season one episode average of 9.3 million viewers. Damn. “Series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss raised our expectations for the second season – and then surpassed them,” said HBO president of Programming Michael Lombardo. “We are thrilled by all the viewer and media support we’ve received for the series, and can’t wait to see what Dan and David have in store for next season.”

So rest assured followers, there is stil plenty more adventures from Westeros. "Game Of Thrones" airs on HBO Sundays at 9 PM.
