The pre-bout imbroglio: A remake of the radicalized,’60s love-on-the-run classic, “Bonnie & Clyde” is announced starring poptart singer cum “actress” Hilary Duff (and some other nobody).
Round 1: Original ‘Bonnie’ actress, Faye Dunaway hears of the news and scoffs, “Couldn’t they at least cast a real actress?”
Round 2: Duff returns the jab; goes for the low-blow: ” I might be mad if I looked like that now too,” Duff said about the natural process of aging.
Round 3: Realizing she looks like an ass, Duff recently threw in the towel on the Bonnie Hunt Show [via Defamer]. “[Dunaway] started acting way later than I did so I think I have time to grow and grow with each project. I am learning and work hard at my craft.”
Hunt said yes, but reminded Duff that Dunaway had the same criticism lobbied at her when she was younger so she might want to just chill out. “I think even Faye went through a time, if you look historically, where some people might have said that about her. She has great beauty but she proved herself,” Hunt told her.
Round 4: Duff picks the towel back up and huffs at Hunt, admitting she was wrong, but basically whines with the excuse: well she started it. “It’s not OK for people to take stabs at you and to say mean things for no reason.”
We’ll check back on the playground to see if there’s any developments in the future and let you know.
