With Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, and Jon Hamm leading the voice cast, “Hoppers” follows an animal lover named Mabel whose mind is transferred into a robotic beaver in order to communicate with animals, namely those threatened by a local construction company.
Here’s an official synopsis for “Hoppers,” courtesy of Pixar:
After a group of scientists invent a way to “hop” human minds into lifelike robotic animal bodies, a young adult named Mabel uses their technology to embody a robotic beaver and thwart a construction company’s plot to destroy the local animal habitat.
Along with Curda, Moynihan, and Hamm, the voice cast of “Hoppers” also includes Meryl Streep, Dave Franco, Kathy Najimy, Eduardo Franco, Melissa Villaseñor, Ego Nwodim, Vanessa Bayer, Sam Richardson, Aparna Nancherla, Nichole Sakura, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Steve Purcell, Karen Huie, and Tom Law.
Daniel Chong writes and directs “Hoppers,” with Nicole Paradis Grindle producing. Mark Mothersbaugh composes the film’s original score.
