Animation has long been the medium for bending reality, but Netflix’s new feature pushes it further, plunging straight into the subconscious. The “In Your Dreams” trailer teases a madcap ride where stuffed giraffes throw shade, zombie pancakes rise from the plate, and nightmares crown their queen. It’s a comedy adventure that embraces the strange logic of dreams and turns it into a spectacle.

Directed by Alex Woo and co-directed by Erik Benson, the story follows siblings Stevie and Elliot on a surreal journey through their own dreamscape in search of the Sandman, who promises the one thing they want most: a perfect family. The stacked voice cast includes Simu Liu, Emmy winner Cristin Milioti, and Craig Robinson, alongside Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Elias Janssen, Omid Djalili, Gia Carides, SungWon Cho, and Zachary Noah Piser.
Woo and Benson penned the screenplay from a story by Woo and Stanley Moore, with longtime animation producers Timothy Hahn and Gregg Taylor steering the project. John Debney, whose past scores have balanced whimsy with grandeur, provides the music.
“In Your Dreams” premieres November 14, 2025, on Netflix. With its mix of surreal comedy, vivid animation, and a marquee cast, it looks like the streamer’s big animated swing for the fall.
