‘Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost’ Trailer: Ben Stiller Plays Loving Homage To His Parents’ Marriage & Comedy Careers

The legacies parents leave behind aren’t just measured in milestones, but in how their humor, creativity, and affection ripple through generations. That’s the heartbeat of “Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost,” a new Apple Original Films documentary directed by Ben Stiller about his parents, the late comedy legends Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. The film will make its world premiere this month at the New York Film Festival before arriving in select theaters on October 17 and streaming globally on Apple TV+ on October 24.

Through archival footage, family memories, and candid interviews, Stiller explores how his parents’ fearless wit reshaped American comedy while also grounding their home life in a deep well of love. In turning the camera on himself, Stiller reflects on Jerry and Anne’s influence on his own career, and the lessons that extend beyond family — the enduring ways we’re shaped by those we love.

The documentary features appearances by Amy Stiller, Christine Taylor-Stiller, Christopher Walken, and Stephen Colbert, offering both intimate reflections and broader cultural context. Produced by Red Hour Films’ Stiller and John Lesher, alongside Geoffrey Richman and Lizz Morhaim, the film also counts Bryn Mooser, Justin Lacob, Kathryn Everett, Tony Hsieh, and Andy Hsieh as executive producers.
