Jason Momoa isn’t the type of guy that is bashful about his body. Clearly, the actor works hard to look like a real-life superhero, and he doesn’t mind a film role that requires him to show off those abs. And it appears that for his next feature, he’ll once again appear sans clothing, but not in the way you might be expecting.
According to Deadline, Momoa has signed with Warner Bros. to star in a live-action “Frosty the Snowman” feature film, with the “Aquaman” actor voicing the title role. So, yeah, this is definitely a role that will feature Momoa as we’ve never seen him before. The new version of ‘Frosty’ will be written by David Berenbaum, who is probably best known as the writer of “Elf,” as well as features such as “The Haunted Mansion,” “The Spiderwick Chronicles,” and “Strange Magic.”

Unless you had a terribly sheltered childhood, you are probably familiar with the story of “Frosty the Snowman,” which is based on the song of the same name released in 1950. The stop-motion animated classic, from the famed producers Rankin/Bass, tells the story of the title snowman and how he magically comes to life.
The new ‘Frosty’ is produced by Momoa alongside Jon Berg and Greg Silverman of Stampede and Geoff Johns of Madghost. Interestingly, Berg and Johns were also recently part of a social media post from Momoa’s “Justice League” co-star Ray Fisher that called out the producers for some unsavory behavior on set. Needless to say, the timing of this ‘Frosty’ announcement is not so great.
That being said, the film is currently in development and everyone seems awfully happy about it.
“From his role as a fearsome count in a land of ice and fire to the oceanic success we all had with ‘Aquaman,’ it felt only right to realize Jason this time out of snow,” Berg said.
A release date for WB’s new version of “Frosty the Snowman” has not been announced.
