Got a Tip?

John Travolta Says Working With Fred Durst On ‘Moose’ Is His “Favorite Experience” He’s Ever Had

Honestly, I’ve have been ready for a John Travolta resurgence since the actor appeared in 2016’s “The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.” His role as Robert Shapiro in the critically-acclaimed series was fun, interesting, and definitely unique. However, since then, there hasn’t been a whole lot from the actor. However, it looks like one of Travolta’s upcoming projects is definitely going to be one to keep your eye on.

Recently, TMZ caught up with Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston. He was asked about his upcoming film slate, which includes three films. The first two films don’t seem all that interesting, to be brutally honest. But that third film, titled “Moose,” is definitely noteworthy. Travolta stars in the film, which is directed by none other than famed 90s/2000s rap-rock frontman Fred Durst, of Limp Bizkit fame. And when you listen to Travolta describe the experience, you might be a little shocked.

When asked by TMZ what it was like working with Durst, Travolta was gushing, saying, “Maybe my favorite experience I’ve had. He’s so generous and he’s such an artist. And he allowed me to create a character that no one else would allow.”

The best experience that Travolta ever had? In a film directed by the Limp Bizkit frontman? Suddenly, “Moose” is a film that has shot up my most-anticipated list.

“Moose” is apparently based on a real-life occurrence between Durst and a rabid fan. The film tells the story of an obsessed fan, played by Travolta, who begins stalking his favorite action-film star, played by Devon Sawa (Remember him? From “Idle Hands” and “SLC Punk?”). After stalking, the fan’s obsession takes a dark turn, and he begins to attempt to destroy his idol’s life.

Judging by a recent set photo, it looks about as ridiculous as you might imagine.

No word yet on a release date, but we’re just hoping “Moose” is as weird and amazing as Travolta, and the little info we have, makes it seem.
