Jordan Peele's 'Twilight Zone' Season 2 To Feature Episodes Directed By Ana Lily Amirpour, Osgood Perkins & More

Though it might not have been the earth-shattering series that CBS All Access hoped for (the platform is apparently keeping the lights on thanks to its various ‘Star Trek‘ series), Jordan Peele’s reboot of “The Twilight Zone” was a pretty good hit for the streaming service, as well as a fairly critically-acclaimed new series. The popularity was enough for CBS to at least commission a new batch of episodes, which we finally have learned more about today.

According to CBS (via Collider), Jordan Peele (who co-produces the series with Simon Kinberg) is set to return as host of “The Twilight Zone,” and he’s brought along a pretty incredible group of actors and filmmakers to join him.

The new season of “The Twilight Zone” will once again have an incredible cast, highlighted by Billy Porter, Joel McHale, Topher Grace, Tony Hale, Damon Wayans Jr., Gillian Jacobs, Ethan Embry, Jimmi Simpson, David Krumholtz, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Sky Ferreira. Last season, folks like Seth Rogen, Zazie Beetz, and Kumail Nanjiani headlined their own episodes of the anthology reboot.

Joining the cast for Season 2 is a great line-up of filmmakers including Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the filmmakers behind the criminally underseen sci-fi film, “The Endless,” Osgood Perkins, who helmed the recently-released “Gretel and Hansel,” and Ana Lily Amirpour, who also helmed an episode (“A Traveler”) from the first season but is probably best known for her horror film “A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night.”
