If you haven’t noticed, we personally, been away on vacation for a few days. Here’s some stuff we’re catching up on (but kudos to the rest of The Playlist team).
Now that Sam Raimi and Tobey Macguire are back, Kirsten Dunst says she’s “in,” for “Spider-Man-4.” She’s coy about being “official,” but clearly the big pay days are offers the cast can’t refuse. [Splashpage]
The D.C. comics hero, Green Lantern is supposed to start shooting next spring. LatinoReview got their hands on the script a few months ago and they loved it. No word if rapper/actor Common will get the gig, as he was scheduled to play the second version of the Lantern in the “Justice League of America” project that died, (a character named John Stewart), but this version of the film centers on Hal Jordan (a white guy), so the rapper is probably shit out of luck (and face it, can’t carry a picture on his own yet). The writers of “Eagle Eye” are working on a “Blade Runner” sequel? Oh god, lord please strike them down now. You couldn’t pay us to see “Eagle Eye,” it looks brutally bad and Ridley Scott’s sci-fi masterpiece does not need a sequel of any kind. Luckily the project is being written independently and not being developed by any real studio. [/Film]
“Watchmen” director Zack Snyder is developing video games for EA (Electronic Artists). [Variety]
“Shaun of the Dead” and “Little Britain” actor Matt Lucas is apparently playing both Twiddledee and Twiddledumb in Tim Burton’s 3D version of “Alice In Wonderland.” The 3D aspect of this film has us worried. We’re not big fans of the “Little Britain”comedy skit show to be honest (though it does have its moments), and Lucas can be particularly annoying, but he’s not a bad choice here. The first look at Mia Wasikowska as Alice is out there too. [/Film/INF Daily]
