Was it someone from JoBlo, the semi-meatheaded movie site fond of kickass scenes, breast and other “dude” fare? At a recent junket for “Tropic Thunder” in L.A., some tattooed cholo-sounding retard asked former drug addict, Robert Downey Jr. a bunch of completely inane questions, the least offensive not being which ‘Thunder’ star would he rather “drink a brew and smoke a blunt with and chill with.”
Downey, unfazed, responded, “I think it’d be regrettable… because I’d be off to the races and in jail within three days.” HollywoodOutbreak writes about the local idiot:
“Something went wrong…oh, so horribly wrong when someone mistakenly invited a large, heavily tattooed DJ from a local morning show who obviously missed the memo on ‘junket etiquette.’ Or any etiquette, for that matter.”
The DJ also asked him who he’d rather have a love scene in a movie with Britney Spears, Paris Hilton or Lindsay Lohan (RDJ without hesitation picks Britney Spears), inanely about whether gas prices effect him and what’s his favorite “hot black chick” in Hollywood (because of course he plays a guy playing a black man in ‘Thunder’).
To be fair to the IQ-deficient choad, Downey seemed amused in the audio clip and obviously wasn’t as aghast and offended as all the journalists in the room clearly were (RDJ stops mid-way and asks the room, “Did that make you mad that he wouldn’t stop? My lord,” seemingly exasperated with the puritans in the room). Downey Jr. even says, “Bless your heart” to the dude for asking his silly little questions and we’re not puritanical either, but dude, regardless of how well he took it: have some tact. Moreover, bloggers don’t get invited to junkets and fools like this do? Take a swig of that and swash it around in your brain for a second.
