Got a Tip?

Margot Robbie Names Quentin Tarantino One Of Her “Bucket-List Directors” As She Prepares For New Film

With the recent announcement of the primary cast of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” our excitement for the film is at an all-time high. Burt Reynolds sharing the screen with Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Kurt Russell, and Margot Robbie? Come on! That sounds incredible!

One of the actors involved, Robbie, is also excited to star in the film. She’ll play the role of Sharon Tate in the film, and as anyone with the most basic knowledge of the Charles Manson story (which serves as a backdrop in Tarantino’s film) knows, Robbie’s role is ultimately a tragic one. All that being said, Robbie is just excited to be part of it, which is evident in her interview with IndieWire.

“Tarantino is one of my bucket-list directors,” she said. “As long as I can remember, I’ve been a huge Tarantino fan.”

But Robbie isn’t excited about the acclaim she might get from working on a Tarantino film. And she’s not happy because the script is so great (even though DiCaprio has gone on record saying its one of the best he’s read). No, Robbie is happy to just be around Tarantino while he works.

“Beyond anything, I’ve just always wanted to see him work. And I want to see how he runs a set, and how he directs people, and what the vibe is onset, and what’s in the script, and then what happens on the day. I’m just fascinated by all of it, fascinated. So it’s going to be a crazy experience to witness it firsthand. It’s something I’ve always dreamed of doing,” Robbie explains.

One thing is for sure, Robbie, along with the rest of Tarantino’s fans, doesn’t want to see the filmmaker end his run as a director with only 10 films to his name. “I hope he changes his mind and keeps making movies,” said Robbie. “Ten? I don’t want just 10 Tarantino films.”

We’ll have to see what Tarantino decides to do in the future, with “Star Trekbeing one of those possibilities. Until then, fans have “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” to look forward to, when it hits theaters August 8, 2019.
