According to Deadline, Maya Rudolph is set to star in a new Apple TV+ series from creators Alan Yang and Matt Hubbard. The show has yet to land a title, but follows the story of a woman (Rudolph) that finds her life upended when her husband leaves her with nothing but $87 billion. As mentioned, Rudolph, Yang, and Hubbard all worked on “Forever,” but they also have some other credits that make this new Apple TV+ series seem like a must-see.

Rudolph is perhaps best known for her run on ‘SNL,’ which made her a superstar. Since then, she’s appeared in a number of memorable performances in film and TV series, cementing her status as one of the funniest actresses working today. Yang is probably best known as a writer on series such as “Parks and Rec,” as well as “The Good Place.” But he’s also the co-creator of the Emmy-winning Netflix series, “Master of None.” And Hubbard also worked on “Parks and Rec,” as well as acting as a writer on the NBC sitcom, “30 Rock.”

It’s unclear when production on the new Apple TV+ comedy series will begin. And if you’re keeping track, the tech company seems to have about 50 separate TV projects in the works with A-list talent, so if you don’t have a subscription yet for the streaming platform, it’s clear that Apple TV+ is going to be a must-sub service in the years to come.
