Megan Fox To Play "Caged Circus Freak" Angel Alongside Micke Rourke In 'Passion Play'

A few months ago, an indie project called, “Passion Plays,” starring the fireworks combination of Megan Fox and Mickey Rourke was announced. A film to be directed by writer-turned-director Mitch Glazer (“Great Expectations,” “Scrooged”), what was known at the time was that the movie would star Rourke as a down-and-out trumpet player who seeks redemption through Fox’s character described as an angel in 1950’s Los Angeles. Most people, at least us were like, right, cool, check, next.

But apparently they weren’t being figurative either. Fox tells MTV her character will actually be a real-life angel or at least a “caged circus freak with angel-like wings growing out of her back.” The two of them will bite and grope one another during the filmmaking and then during promotion we’ll get tons of juicy stories about Fox calling Rourke a skeevy dude and things of that nature, right?

I mean, this is the reason this project is being made, no? Co-funded by the tabloids and US Weekly and for all our collective amusements? Let’s hope so. At the very least there might be a good soundtrack, Glazer was a reporter for Crawdaddy music magazine in the late 1970s.
