Got a Tip?

Mickey From ‘Seinfeld’ Will Be Splinter In ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’

nullSo, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” are still coming in the Micheal Bay-produced franchise reboot, the casting continues to be intriguingly random. Thus far we have Alan Ritchson (Raphael), Pete Ploszek (Leonardo), Jeremy Howard (Donatello), and Noel Fisher (Michelangelo) as the heroes on the half shell, Megan Fox as April O’Neil and Will Arnett in a role being kept under wraps. But you can take Splinter off the list of possibilities as to who Gob Bluth will play.

Deadline reports that Danny Woodburn—likely best known for his role as Mickey on “Seinfeld“—has bagged the part of the classic ‘Turtles’ mentor. It’s a nice bit of casting, even if the ensemble as a whole seems a bit mismatched. Woodburn is definitely an unexpected choice, and we’re curious to see how he’ll approach the part.

The Jonathan Liebseman directed, live-action/CGI flick (talk about your red flags) will land on June 6, 2014.
