Got a Tip?

Marvel Studios Developing ‘Ms. Marvel’ TV Series For Disney+

Marvel Studios may have found one of the answers to their recent Spider-Man problem, and her name is Ms. Marvel. According to THR, Marvel Studios is developing a new Disney+ series focused on the teen superhero Ms. Marvel. The series, which is said to be written and showrun by British writer Bisha K. Ali, will focus on Marvel’s first Muslim superhero, Kamala Khan. The young adult deals with many of the issues that teens today deal with but through the lens of a Pakistani-American girl living with a strict family.

Kamala becomes a hero when she’s infected by the Terrigen Mists and gains the ability to stretch and reshape her body any which way she wants. She can shrink, grow, stretch, or whatever she needs to do in a given situation. She takes the name Ms. Marvel as inspiration from her idol Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel.

The report also says that it’s still unclear how “Ms. Marvel” will co-exist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, with Marvel Studios as the production company behind the series, it’s assumed that the series will be just as vital to the MCU as other recently announced series like “Hawkeye,” “WandaVision,” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”
