‘Naughty’: Peter Dinklage To Play Santa Claus In Olivia Wilde’s Custody Battle Holiday Pic With Jennifer Aniston

Actress-turned-filmmaker Olivia Wilde has found the two main actors for her upcoming high-concept holiday comedy “Naughty,” which has landed at Universal Pictures with a November 5, 2027, release date.

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed, alongside other trades, that TV heavyweight actors Jennifer Aniston (“The Morning Show”) and Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”) have been recruited by Wilde for “Naughty,” with the former playing a mother in a custody battle and in need of Santa Claus’ help as a witness. Dinklage had previously played a famed author in the beloved Jon Favreau-helmed holiday movie “Elf,” and Aniston was part of the R-rated flick “Office Christmas Party.”

Wilde is also directing from a script penned by “Cocaine Bear” (another Universal movie) screenwriter Jimmy Warden (husband of Aussie actress Samara Weaving), who originally wrote the project on spec. He also previously worked on projects “Borderline” (Warden directed it) and “The Babysitter: Killer Queen.”

A logline mentioned in the outlet’s report:

“Naughty” centers on Mallory (Aniston), who is embroiled in a custody battle with her ex over her son. Her last hope is to track down Santa Claus (Dinklage) and get him to testify in the divorce hearing.

She’s coming off the acclaimed couples comedy “The Invite,” starring herself, Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz, and Edward Norton, which is already getting some early awards-season buzz, including being a strong Oscars contender. So, we wouldn’t be shocked if other high-profile actors will be lining up to participate in “Naughty.”

From the synopsis, it seems there will be plenty of roles to fill. We wouldn’t be all that shocked if Wilde took a supporting part in the project, maybe one of the divorce hearing lawyers or a family member?
