It seems each new look at "Hunger Games" brings with it even more outrageous costume design and makeup. If this is a dystopian future, it seems fashion designers are ruling the world. Tracksuits! Those wigs! Well get ready for another feast of stichery!
EW has dropped another new image from the upcoming movie, a fashionista's take on something from a coal mining world, as coal mining apparently still happens in the future. “This is one of those moments where Cinna’s character syncs up with the creativity of our costume designer Judianna Makovsky,” explains director Gary Ross. “What Cinna was trying to do was create something that came out of District 12, out of a coal mining world, with a fresh, bold look to it. So Judianna went to this wonderful black reflective material that glistened like coal or graphite and would obviously work well in the Tribute parade where Katniss becomes the Girl on Fire." Coal mining. So hawt.
Speaking of threads, a few more pics have arrived (via ONTD) from "This Means War," upcoming action/comedy/romcom vehicle starring Bronson, Captain Kirk and Elle Woods. Tom Hardy and Chris Pine play two CIA agents who become oblivious to the duties of their country and spend a movie battling each other for the heart of Reese Witherspoon. Apparently the dating pool for guys with steady government jobs who look like magazine cover models is pretty small. The movie just got moved to a Valentine's Day release on cheapie Tuesday, February 14th. Bring a date and save a buck. Pics below.
